Getting Settled

So, as the title suggests, I am definitely getting settled into life here. School hasn't quite started yet, but I'm meeting a lot of people, and never running out of things to do. This week was labeled "Oweek" (Oritentationweek), and, once again like the title suggests, I get to be oriented into this entirely new life. Today this morning, I went to a "class" which was PLBC101. I learned the basics of PLBC, and kind of discovered what they expect of me here. The meals are amazing, I don't know if I already said that yet. This orientation thing was literally 4 hours long, straight...other than about a five minute break that we got. It was not exactly...the best thing ever.

So, my course load looks like such:
Monday: Old Testament survey (8-10:10 in the morning), then Sight singing & Ear Training (10:20-12:30), then lunch, and Chaple worship team practise at 3:15.
Tuesday: English Composition (8-11:20 HOLY COW!!! That's a LONG class!) Then I have private piano lessons at 11:30 until noon. Then lunch, and then Vocal ensemble from 1:15-2:45
Wednesday is spiritual formation from 8 until 10:10. Then at 11:30 I have vocal skills until 12:30. Then lunch, and finally IMM Round Table from 1:15 to 2:15 (We get to listen to worship leaders and speakers who are sometimes really well-known)
Thursday: There's music theory 1 from 8:45-10:55, then chaple, then lunch, then instrumental ensemble from 1:15-2:45, and that's my thursday.
Then friday's AMAZING: History and philosophy of music from 9:10-11:20. And that's IT! Nothing else! I love it!

So...not much else to tell. Oh! next weekend I get to go on a trip to a multi-million dollar resort! There's no wireless internet or anything, but it's an amazing place from what I hear from many people.

I'm also being forced (haha) to join a local church. I wasn't sure what to pick, since there's no way I could pick a church that could substitute Courts for me, so I chose a Foursquare one that has a shuttle that will come here to pick up students. Apparently I'll probably be able to join the worship team. I don't know if I will make it my church while I'm out here, just because I haven't been to it before. It's called Sunrise...or...something with a sun in it Foursquare Church.

I'd like to say thanks for everyone's prayers, doing this has been interesting, and I have definitely felt God's support for what I'm doing, but also a healthy fear. I'm loooking forward to starting classes, but most of all, I'm looking forward to coming back this winter!
